Farewell Fun

I had an INCREDIBLE birthday celebration. I don’t think it’s possible that I could have had a better time. The whole night was PERFECT. I owe many thanks to Marc and Meredith. The two of them work so well together ;). Let me just say how GREAT it feels that my husband and best friend get along so well. However, I AM looking forward to taking back my rightful place at West Hills ;).
Hmmm…where do I start? Marc got a couple rooms at the Radisson. Everyone met up around 6 o’clock. The attendance was perfect: Casey/Emily, Mike/Trish, Angie/Scott, Meredith/Jay, Susanna and Shannon. I was totally impressed with Marc…he contacted “my” friends all on his own. I must say…we are one “classy” bunch. There was only one champagne glass in the room (for the birthday girl of course). Everyone else had to make do with glasses and coffee mugs. The BEST substitute was Scott’s measuring cup. After a LOT of toasting in the room, we went to dinner at Webster’s at 7:30. It was possibly the looongest dinner I have ever had. We were there until 11PM. BUT, the food was great and my company was fantastic. Meredith got me a beautiful chocolate birthday cake…it was yummy too. I really enjoyed sitting next to Susanna. We hardly see each other anymore (I think that was the second time in 2009). Thanks for coming out WITH a smile Miss Suzy…oh, and for NOT playing the tired card. I KNOW you are ALWAYS tired and probably sleep the most out of all of us ;).

Next was Shakespeare’s. I figured it would be the most entertaining for all my guests. With shuffleboard, pool, and darts you can’t go wrong. Of course I sucked at everything. Marc and Mike spanked me at shuffleboard and Mer kicked my ass at darts. I didn’t care though…my competitive spirit was not present…I was too drunk ;). Crystal and Shawn decided to grace us with their presence at Shakespeare’s. LOL, just kidding…Shawn had a tournament that day and failed to tell Crystal about my party…ooops. Crystal did not bring her free spirit with her and I wouldn’t be able to hold my agitation of another long face on a good friend for much longer.

I think almost everyone came back to the room with us. I only remember Shannon, Scott, and Angie departing from the group. Let’s get the Dirty Thirties started ha ha. OMG did I have A LOT of fun in the room. Meredith, Emily, and I decided to soak our tootsies in the Jacuzzi tub. We were able to talk Jay into giving us a little dance. He was AWESOME…he was such a free spirit about it and the girls had so much fun laughing together. That moment will forever be priceless. Emily had jeans on so it didn’t take long for the dirtiness to begin. She was uncomfortable with her jeans rolled up but didn’t want to be the “new” girl in her panties. Meredith and I made her feel right at home by taking our dresses off. What’s the difference between a bathing suit and bra/panties anyways? Well….besides the fact that mine were shear. I have got to start making better panty choices for 30th birthday parties. I had black shear ones at Marc’s 30th and flesh colored ones at mine. Knowing myself, I will probably have on NO panties at Crystal’s 30th in a few years.

Rather than going into detail about the rest of the night I am going to call it quits. The night was PERFECT and the memories shall be kept for all of those that were a part of it. Thank you so much for sticking around Mike, Trish, and Susanna…I can’t tell you how impressed I am that you guys partied until 5AM with us. Mike and Trish, you are truly the greatest…you may not participate in my “free-spirit behavior” but you NEVER make me feel awkward about it. I am ALWAYS comfortable around you…can’t wait for Boston next year. Casey, you make every party a GREAT party. Emily ROCKS too…in fact, I like her so much I might pick “her” if you don’t do your best to keep her ;)
Crystal, thank you so much for pulling the stick out of your ass and allowing yourself to have a good time. I have to give you props…that could have turned really ugly. BUT, you swallowed and took it like it was no biggy. Can you teach Marc to do that? But really, the fun that we had the rest of the night was worth it. Not seeing YOU smile on my birthday was NOT acceptable ;). I wanted that Tiggity Tooley time ;). Thanks for all the birthday “bags” tiggity…those are always precious ;)~.

Meredith, I think I need a whole blog to thank you for all the wonderful things you do. You have helped Marc give me two amazing birthday’s back to back. You are the greatest friend I have ever had. I know I have lots of friends and I think of them all differently and hold a different place in my heart for all of them…but you are my EVERYTHING. You will always be my mafia queen and now I can be your selfish bitch ;). I LOVE you…let’s grow old together baby.
Marc doesn’t read my blog (I don’t think he realizes how witty I can be) so there is no need to send him a special thank you note. BUT, I will say that I had an AMAZING night with my husband. I love it when he lets loose and has a good time. I may not get the “fun” part of him all the time, but when I do it is so addicting…I want more.
