Definitally, Maybe

I don't get to enjoy our home without the kids often enough so this weekend has been a real treat. Garnett wanted the kids for the weekend so we dropped them off last night. Usually, when we have a weekend "off" we throw some adult gathering or hit the town. But this weekend has been so peaceful...we haven't done diddly. We just enjoyed each others company.

When we got home Friday night we just snuggled in bed and watched Definitely, Maybe. What a cute movie. We had been trying to watch that movie for a couple of months now. However, I am sad to say that I did NOT get caught up on The Hills. Every time I sat down to watch it Marc would come upstairs and want to do something.

We got out a little bit today. We decided to spontaneously go see a matinee. It's those little things that you realize you miss sometimes. Just doing whatever YOU want WHENEVER. When you're a parent you almost become selfless. I LOVE being a mommy and all, but I think I need to take more time to enjoy the simplicity of things when I do get that time to myself.

Marc wanted to see Zombieland but I told him I had no interest and to just see it with the boys. We ended up seeing District 9. I liked the movie but I also felt disturbed during it. The human race can be so cruel and self centered. I'd hate to see what we do to each other if the world does ever come to an end. Hopefully, it will be fast and painless versus a fight for survival.

What to do on a Saturday night with no plans??? Spend money of course :) We decided to go to the mall at 8PM and get Marc some new work clothes. He has been dressing more professional lately...trying to fit the part of business man and all :) We ate dinner at the chophouse after. We had such a great experience last week that we craved for more. Unfortunately, everything was horrible...the service and the food (well the appetizers anyways, the main course was great). Oh well, I can't chop it up to being all bad...we ran into Rachel there and it was nice to officially meet her husband.
